Ian Brown (Pencil on paper) by StephenAinsworth Ian Brown (Pencil on paper) by StephenAinsworth
I got some new pencils this week, Tombow mono's, and thought I would try them out. I found this picture on the net of the legendary Ian Brown I think it was taken in 98 or 99. I've done virtually no blending whatsoever on this as I wanted to get a real good feel for the pencils. I'm really pleased how this has come out and really pleased with the pencils....but again I'm not overly pleased with the photo.

Tombow mono pencils and Tombow eraser on W&N smooth cartridge paper 35x28cm

Wow...as a pencil artist myself I tell you one thing: Im jealous! This is really great work and Ive never seen anything like it. The skin is just perfect. I think fur is far easier than creating realistic skin with pencils!

Really amazing.

I try, but my art skills aren't nearly as good as yours. You've probably been drawing longer than I have. But anyways, you're picture is still incredibly awesome.
